Plant City Bonsai

On a recent trip to Atlanta, I visited many places that you probably hear about in future posts, but the highlight was a trip to Clermont, Georgia, to talk to Steve Cratty in Plant City Bonsai. He took the time to talk to me about almost all aspects of bonsai and even his actions helped me choose a good copy to take home (which I will speak in the future). Plant City Bonsai has many copies, but most of the population is for the beginner bonsai artists, like me, who is one step ahead of nursery stock for their elections are not a single $ 10 five years of age of the tree and a tree from $ 500 30 years old. Steve tries to fill that void with material that has already started on their way to be a good bonsai, but still leaves you plenty of creative control over what the final appearance will be. I found the experience very enjoyable and I feel like I missed Warren Hill, who appeared the next day. I’ve included some photos of my visit, and unfortunately, no video of the tour he gave me. This is definitely a labor of love with Steve and I were to suggest that might have given a few gray hairs on the way:)
